Kuba Krzyżanowski after #WISCRA: One of my dreams has definitely come true
Damian Urbaniec
After winning the Kraków derby, Kuba Krzyżanowski spoke about a dream come true, the emotions surrounding the match against Cracovia, and the unique atmosphere created by the White Star fans.
Kuba, I recently came across a video from three years ago on Wisła's channel, where you told young guys to follow their dreams. Has your dream come true today?
Definitely one of my dreams. Obviously, playing in the Kraków derby is something special, and not everyone has a match like that on their résumé, so I'm really happy. Of course, it was a special match, and I really think this win will do a lot for us, including mentally.
And before today's match, were you feeling stressed and full of adrenaline? Was it hard to get anything down, or were you trying not to think about the match?
Maybe there were a few more nerves, because it's always a derby. I tried to approach it like any other match, although, of course, derbies have their own rules and, as I said earlier, this is a special match.
Was winning today's match one of the main goals for this part of the season, to beat Cracovia and have a little more peace of mind?
I mean, winning the derby was obviously the goal, but our goal is to win every match. So I wouldn't say this was the most important match of the season, because we're simply trying to take things as a whole and win every game.
And speaking of the fans, did they do a good job today?
I think so. I mean, you know, when you're playing a match, you don't always hear or pay attention to the stands, because the most important thing is that green rectangle. So yes, but no, I think the atmosphere was great today.
